by Basil Pesso on I have a love hate relationship with frim fram jam. It's hit or miss with some of the djs. The crowds are very hit or miss as well. If you like being around a bunch of newbs, stay on the right side of the room. You'll get some Columbia University and NYU students learning how to swing over there. I've been dropped as well as hit in the face by students that didn't know how to lead well. Stick to the left side of the room if you feel a little more confident about your steps....but even then, you can get some really creepy partners.
by King Bazydlo on After a hard days work, I like to come here because they have a great atmosphere. But besides that there isn't anything too special. The service is okay, and the food is okay (especially when considering the price). I can also say that if you enjoy something there once, there is no guarantee that it'll be just as good the second time. Like for instance, the Szechuan Shoestring Fries could come out hot and crispy, but the next time you order, they could be cold and soggy. So, I give this place three stars since it's for the atmosphere that I return, not necessarily for the food.
by d c. on Overall, I agree with Jeff that this place is messed up; but, there is one, shining exception: The $15 Bento Box Lunch served until 2:30pm -- asian street food in five small plates -- this is one of the best deals in town. Crowd is really offensive, though, for the most part -- flashy cars, gold teeth, bad manners, mixed in with unsuspecting white suburbanites from second and third tier Southern cities who scored a good deal on Priceline. And, about those Cheap Purple Ugly Suits: make the good bodies look bad and bad ones look tragic.
