by Bethel Coronado on We had very little problem getting in; the bouncers were super nice to us. Drinks were really strong and not watered down (like most clubs in the OC). They have a nice pool so I'm going to be wearing my bikini under my dress next time I come here! Overall I had fun, but I think it was more because of the alcohol than the venue.
by Gail Bazel on Last minute plans had us in line at Icon and we worked it so that us girls could get in for free. Shoot, It was my bday! It was sweaty hot in there, packed like sardines, but I had the cutest guy to dance with so I was one happy camper. The backroom was less packed and played Old skool hip hop-- Nice. With my jungle juice in hand, David Banner playing, and me working it, I could not ask for more.
by Natalie S. on I ate here last night with my good friends and it was surprisingly good! The vibe of the inside room is very sleek. A little too much white, but I like the two levels (we ate on the upstairs balcony portion). It definitely felt non-SF. The food is an interesting mix of Indian, South Asian, Italian and Californian. We ordered four appetizers. They apparently just changed their menu and although the squash blossoms tempura was listed, they didn't have it. boo hoo. So, we had the scallops, asian pizza naan, goat cheese pakora and crab cakes (which weren't on the menu). The food was very good and very interesting. For the main, we decided to split two: the tandoori organic chicken (yummers) and the ravioli saag! The saag inside the ravioli was an interesting twist and added the spiciness to the ravioli. We also ordered garlic naan and regular naan. Beware cuz the garlic naan was very very garlicy. Since it was Paul's birthday, we got a complimentary dessert and we also ordered a sampler of 5 sorbets. Included and my faves were the thai iced tea sorbet and the rice sorbet. So, we stayed for Temple afterwards and while we were eating it slowly became a dance floor. Lights were turned down, dj started mixing and the bar opened up.
