by Liz p. on I'd always heard really great things about this place, so one day during my lunch hour I ran to catch the bus at 16th and took it down to 24th. The place was pretty crowded which always makes me a bit leery because I feel that the Mexican food places people pounce on and rave about are often overrated. I got myself some soft tacos of carnitas. My usual order at any Mexican place. My tacos were sooo good. The salsa was spicy (for once!) and their tortillas are clearly handmade corn tortillas.
by Albert H. on Modern, "yuppie" atmosphere but the food is consistently good, and the craft beer selection is among the very best in Phoenix. Open late. Service is usually good. Clean restrooms too, which seems to be the exception to the norm in Phoenix. Highly recommend sweet potato fries. I prefer weeknights early in the week to avoid the crowd.
