by Charlesetta Claypole on Well, this is the 3rd time I've been here. And will be the last. Iguana is a good place for dancing and having a few drinks- and for a big group. But the food is pretty dissappointing and pricey for their quality. I had the chicken with mashed chipotle. It was bland and definitey lacking something special. I squeezed some lemon on the chicken to give it more flavor and still...The same goes for the salsa sauce. It just didn't have 'it'. Although the guacamole was good and possibly the best thing we had. Service was just ok. Nothing special. As for the other dishes that my friends had: taco salad; burger; steak, fajitas. Here we go: the steak was burned.The burger was medium when it was supposed to be well done. My friend asked for ketchup to make the burger more edible. Not the kind of food that you'd want to have second or clean your plate because you enjoy the food so much. It was more like...'I'm paying $20 for my food so let me try eating it the best I can'. $25 later...I almost wished I'd gone to Trader Joe's and make my own chicken at home.

It IS Big top Circus .Complete with vaulted circus ten, fun house (aka dance floor w/ DJ), concession stand with spiked snow cones, candy, popcorn, cotton candy and more, a ticket booth, carny games & prizes, even a real dunk tank that you can pay $25 to get in (why?) No details were spared from my favorite childhood memories of the circus. - minus the animal cruelty and midgets. Cocktails, not surprisingly, are themed as well. Including a Blue Cotton Candy martini which comes with a side of cotton candy in a cup...the Carmel apple martini has a real chunk of carmel in the glass - both run for about $15 AND of course there's the soon to be infamous Drunk Tank. $70 gets you (and hopefully 10 friends) 2 gallons of mystery punch that will kick your ass. As far as bars go - I'm not sure how often I would be up for so much stimulation. There is soooo much going on. But it's definitely worth a visit.
by Peter K. on definition of a hassle. must buy a bottle, and even then there's no guarantee you'll get in. met a group of people who made reservations, paid, and still denied. seems like they're just trying to be too cool. they don't even let you out if you have friends outside. not worth the time. the hype is what it is. if you dress like a slut you might have a chance...
