Hee hee. I'm very amused to admit i waited in line to get in here. yes, you read that correctly, i waited in line. If you know me at all, or have ever met me you know that I don't wait in line. I've got the patience of a 5 year old. SO the fact that I waited in line should tell you something. now get this... i waited in line for 1 hour. whoa. did that just blow your mind? So the honest truth is I was on a date, with a guy I was into and he really wanted to go here so we waited in line. and honestly, it was worth the wait! dive bar, with fantastic music. totally my scene. no one cared if you could or couldn't dance. everyone was super psyched to be there. great great night. totally worth the wait.

A definite 5 from me for overall experience, starting from 2 days before I got here.  I was looking for either clubs/lounges in LA for my friends and I to hangout at after my wedding on Saturday November 14 (which was in Pasadena)... and Boulevard3 stuck out from all the rateclubs reviews saying it was the best club in LA.  Immediately, I was discouraged because I saw that this club was GUEST LIST ONLY.  There's no just showing up and trying to get in on the night of. So I browsed other clubs... but none seemed as appealing.  These are the comments that drew me to Boulevard3: -  Free Food!!  Tacos and stuff... seriously??  Cool! -  Young, hip, good looking crowd - always a plus at clubs... not that I'm looking. -  Huge dancefloor with plenty of room to sit and walk around.  I'm used to cramped LA clubs where you're stuck standing and holding your drink all night long not able to sit or hear over the music. -  I saw the pictures, and the club looked stunning... it definitely piqued my curiosity. So I went on the Boulevard3 website, where you can fill out a form in hopes of getting on the guestlist.  In the comments section I just wrote that it was for my wedding afterparty because a lot of close friends of mine were flying in and it would be great to party at a place like Boulevard3.  I didn't have much hopes of getting in since people get on the guestlist at least in advance, and this was a last minute thing.  But to my delight, Mark Alex emailed me the very next day.  He gave us a great offer on a table, but I had to decline and ask to just be put on a regular guestlist.  He wasn't sure if the club would be maxed out as it was... so he said he'd have to let me know. When I hadn't heard from him on Friday (right before my wedding day), I assumed it would be a no, and my friends and I found a backup plan.  However, the morning of my wedding - Mark Alex emailed me (thank god I have a smartphone bc who checks email on their wedding day??)... he said we could get on the guestlist without a table!!  Woooohoooo.  He also offered one more time a deal on a table... an even BETTER deal from the first time - he said he wasn't trying to upsell me, he just wanted us to genuinely have a good time.  He sounded genuine and I believed him.  It was an offer I couldn't refuse, so I just booked it! When my friends and I got to the club, we definitely got the royal treatment.  We discovered that our "table" was actually 3 tables with the club right below us... and we seriously had the BEST view of the house - if you look straight ahead you'll see the stage and all the dancers.  It was more than a club, it was almost like a show!  The service was amazing too... Even my non-dancing friends danced and had a buttload of fun at Boulevard3.  I'd definitely come again!

Last Saturday my fiance and I had the downstairs basement-like room all to ourselves (OK, it was really early). We drank Chimay and I danced to James Brown and played the conga. This is my new favorite bar, I've decided.
