Oh, jeez, where to begin. I don't think I want to relive the entire horrible experience by going into great detail here, but I have to write a review in hopes that others won't waste their time or money by going to Le Club. Basically, 2 of my friends had warned me that they'd had multiple bad experiences at Le Club, but it's so close to my pad that I had to give it a shot. Bottom line is, the crowd is older, the drinks are expensive (even for SF) and the pissy, balding bartender Matthew is the WORST bartender in the city. With so many great places to choose from in the city, don't bother with this one. If you are looking for expensive drinks, a well-heeled crowd and MUCH better service, just go to the Redwood room. Way hotter people and a much better time!

Parish is a very good value for the quality of the food. My folks were in town and we, including my girlfriend, dropped in on a Saturday night. The place was absolutely packed. I highly recommend ordering family style and splitting everything - it worked out great for us. We ended up getting the Pork Shank, eggplant ettoufee, jambalaya bites (more like four giant jambalaya meatballs (for like $5?!?!)), bbq shrimp and squash with parmesean dumplings. The pork shank was delicious as was the squash and dumplings. The bites and etouffee were also very good. The only food complaint was they could have put a few more shrimp into the bbq shrimp dish (two more would have been nice). We had a three beers, a tea, and two coffees and split two desserts and somewhow came out around $110. The only negative - be patient with the service. The kitchen is downstairs (only place it could be given the layout of the buiding) - so your server may disappear for a while.
