You really have to annoy and irritate me for me to give a 1 star review and Drai's did it for me.  I RARELY give out 1's too.  In fact this is my 2nd one giving a 1 star review.  The other one belonged to Code in Newport Beach.  The reason why I gave that place a 1 is because they screwed up my order AND didn't correct AND after waiting for TWO hours for my gf's entree they said they didn't even start on it yet.  The place was dead too.  No effin bueno. So... Drai's is supposed to be like a Vegas nightclub but in Hollywood.  Ok.. I get that BUT I never had problems with actual Vegas clubs... like NEVER.  I must say... Drai's is way over the top with pretentiousness.  The venue itself is aesthetically nice with the glowing pool outside and cabanas lined around it but that doesn't fucken matter when you aren't getting your bottle in a timely manner!!  Ok so this was why I got irritated. I came here for my dear friend's 30th birthday.  We had a cabana with 3 bottles reserved for our party.  When we arrived to Drai's at 10 pm exact the table line was just as long as the non-table line.  We waited in for an hour and it BARELY moved.  WTF is going on?  The birthday girl's husband ended up tipping the doorman so that we can get in faster.  Wait a min... why the fuck did we have to tip the doorman when we reserved a cabana?  That was really stupid to me. Alright.. one hurdle out of the way... we are finally inside.  Our cabana was located outside above the outside bar.  My goodness it was a cold night.  Our heater wasn't working after asking the bus boys and waitress numerous times... "uhmm... I don't think it's working."  I will be understanding that it's a crazy busy night but all I can remember was freezing my ass off waiting for our bottles to come. So... we settled in at 11 pm.  It took another 30 minutes to get the alcohol!!  Everyone was getting impatient where we couldn't help but to keep asking... "where the fuck are the drinks?".  It's almost midnight and nothing has started yet.  Finally when the drinks came we were able to start celebrating my girlfriend's birthday but with haste.  By the end of the night the birthday girl became inebriated and had a good time.  That's all that mattered but it felt like we had to go through hell just to get there.  It should NOT be this difficult and take that long if reserved a table... PERIOD.  I felt like I didn't get what I paid for.  But luckily I was with great company to make up for all this crap. I never disliked a club so much before until this night.  I do not want to come back.  It was just ridiculous.  I never want to go through all that again. Side note:  I thought our waitress was very nice and sweet and they did send a guy to pretty much plug in the heater.  The heater should have been plugged in already but they did fix it.  Just too much waiting.

Went last night after yet another Christmas party.  It was fun, I love the free popcorn in the back, and they have pool tables.  It is absolutely a neighborhood bar, no pretentions here.  However, the bartender had a bit of attitude, kept freaking out when a kernel of popcorn got onto the pool table and was in general, pretty stressed out. I like how they have so many chairs, play decent tunes, and that there were FOUR rolls of toilet paper in the girls stall, all on individual toilet paper holders.  Even on a busy night, you wouln't be left without a square or two. This isn't a destination bar, but if you are in the neighborhood, want a beer or to play pool, Final Final is a great option!
