by Meadow Muffins A. on One of the top club experiences of my life! I organized my best friends bachelorette party here, and it couldn't have been more perfect. Working with the staff over email for bottle service was as simple as could be...and when we showed up we were taken very good care of. I think the price was worth every penny... we paid $720 for bottle service split amongst 15 ladies... Great music... fun, unpretentious atmosphere... I would definitely recommend sitting on the mezzanine for bottle service.. where you're still up the the action, but have no crazies all up in your shit... Good job Boulevard 3.. This will be the only club I attend while visiting LA from now on... !
by Leonor Tademy on If I were to rate this place purely on the type of customers it attracts (besides me, of course), it would get 1-star. The unfortunate reality of being an upscale "japanese" restaurant near the University of Pennsylvania seems to attract the worst kind of people. You know, those that valet park their Lexus, but don't tip their coat room attendants. Okay, moving on to more important things... the food here is great. Another Starr restaurant done right. The interior is reminiscent of an Apple store and the music makes you think you're walking into a trend New York nightclub. Wait, I thought I was moving on to more important things... The menu is filled with "new" and "exotic" offerings. Although my weapon of choice is the conveyor belt sushi bar. For $2-5 a plate, you can pick the sushi you want, when you want it. The sushi chefs work diligently behind the bar to whip up your favorites (and they even take special orders). Overall, if you're looking to impress your new Penn undergrad hottie GF, this is the place to bring her to. The food is decent, but you'll pay for it. The atmosphere will put you both in a place where you can really enjoy each other's company. If you're into a more modest sushi experience, I would recommend Misu (locations in Old City and Universtiy City).
by Yi Schwabauer on It's hardly underground since everyone knows about it, but it literally is under the ground. If you love to dance, I think MJQ is the best place in Atlanta to go. They always have good DJs who play a wide variety of music. You can pretty much wear anything and fit in here. It's an overall great experience and lots of fun. It's also cheap to get in (compared to most clubs in Atlanta). I'm not sure what they charge on all nights, but in my experience is been either 5 or 10 bucks. Seems like it's gotten more college-y since I first started going, but it's still a cool spot to go to.
