by Norma M. on It takes a lot for me to say I hate a place, especially one I've never even gone to. Granted, I can't review the inside of the club because I got tired of the bullshit outside and made my way to a cooler spot but I have to post a review of the peeps at the front door. I arrived at this place with two male friends of mine to meet up a birthday girl and a big group of people (she had a guestlist, btw). The 3 of us got there first and I was instantly annoyed at the lack of order outside. No lines? Okay, whatever. I made my way to the front (being the only woman so far) and some douchebag with a clipboard asked me whose list I was on. "Nancy's. It's for her birthday." "Oh. She's not here yet so you're gonna have to wait." I said fine, that's not a problem. While we waited, I noticed a group of 3 white women and 2 white men (I mention their race because it's important later) standing next to me tell this douchebag with the clipboard that they were there for a birthday. The douchebag says "That party had a minimum of 10 people in their party and they already have 10 people." The girls looked confused for a second but the douchebag let them in anyway. 15 minutes later, the birthday girl arrives with about 10 girls and 3 guys. She goes to the front and the douchebag with the clipboard counts us and says, "You have too many people in your party." ? The birthday girl was like, "Okay, we'll get bottle service. What's the price for a bottle?" He says, "$400 for a bottle. But only 2 guys can be in your party if you buy a bottle. The other guys have to go to the general admission line." WHAT? What in the hell? Has anyone else ever heard of this? Meanwhile, giant groups of white people were going in, guys and girls alike. I don't think I've ever played the race card (considering I'm a light-skinned Latina) but this motherfucker was racist. Straight up. And what's worse is the women in our group were beautiful! No fat girls, no sloppy bitches, nothing. I was so annoyed that i told my two friends, "Fuck this, I'm not wasting my time or money on this piece of shit. Let's go somewhere else." Maybe the club itself is cool, but the front is jacked up. No thanks!
by Sharla Renier on I've never been to Boss so I don't know what it looked like before, but I really like the way its set up right now. Only thing is that it seems kind of small and there's not many places to sit unless you get a table...which I guess is like most clubs. Haha. They have two bars - one at the front, and one at the side in this cool little sectioned off area. It wasn't hard getting a drink at either bar and overall, it was a pretty good experience. I had a good time but just didn't leave with a "OMG...I have to come back here and bring all my friends" feeling.
by Nicolasa Grega on Someone in my group got a table, so it was nice to be able to sit down. The waitstaff is a bit TOO attentive. I just hate it when there's constantly a flashlight in your face every 5 minutes. The music in the beginning was very 80's (not my scene) but it got better as the night progressed--I'm not sure if it was the music or the alcohol.... but either way eventually I was having fun dancing... the cocktail waitresses had cute black sweater dresses on that showed off their legs..if ur into that sort of thing...oh and the steps leading down to the club is not exactly drunk-proof ...haha...
