by Teresa S. on Very hip spot to chill and listen to some great poetry. You can bring your own brown bag and sit back and hear some raw talent. Great entertainment and nice size. Location a bit far from the train but it's worth the little walk.
by George R. on First: DO NOT ORDER FOOD HERE. The quality is like a bad mix between a low end chain restaurant and meager pub food... and it's over priced (obviously). Second: This place is AWESOME on the inside. Beautifully designed. Excellent lighting. And the quality of talent that comes through here is worth checking out. Tickets can some times be rather expensive, so check their website to see when things are going on that are within your price range. It is not uncommon some nights to see the lower parking lot filled with Mercedes and BMWs from out of town. Go here for the music. Have a drink, but DO NOT order food. The only complaint I got from a friend when we went to hear one of her friend's band on the "Philly Local Night" was that the sound engineer was not mixing the feed very well. In addition, I had heard complaints from others that the mixing in the downstairs theater was rather poor. You'd expect more from a major music venue that also happens to be a radio station. I will check out the Open Mic night some day if I have time and get in the door. (Note: I'll update this review if I go back again in the future.)
