by James S. on I had a great time here. THE GOOD; original atmosphere. Not just your average laser lights and fog machines. This place had girls dancing in elevator-like tubes, big chandeliers, water features, a big stage, a place to dance (above couches in the middle of the club) and a great DJ. At the beginning of the night it was more "top 10" music, but switched to a cool mix of popular tracks mixed with some house and dance. THE BAD It's a small place, so don't expect getting in the door to be easy if it is busy or if you come at peak time and don't expect to not be passed over in favor of a group of ten girls. Also the bar is highly expensive. I know it's Miami but this is bad. Altogether, I loved this place. I spent a lot, but I also drink a lot. It was a tightly packed place, with a varied age crowd, good music, and was tough to get in. Check it out if you're used to the club scene. If you're thinking it's like every other club, and you'll have no problem getting in or buying cheap drinks, don't get upset when it doesn't work.
by Shelley T. on I've never shaken my ass so hard. I went to Little Baobab for a birthday celebration with a group. When we showed up, it was pretty empty, so I thought, okay... we'll start the party. ($3 cover on Friday and $5-$7 delicious drink specials.) Then, slowly, the place filled up to capacity. This didn't stop anyone from getting down to incredibly danceable grooves. It gets hot; the line to the bathroom can be long, but you'll sweat out all that alcohol anyway shaking all that junk out of your trunk. And, evidently, white as I am...I can get crunk. I also can collect phone numbers without remembering doing so. The messages left on my machine were hilarious the next day.
