by Doug P. on Obvious 5 star. The food was delicious. We were planning on going somewhere else that was closed for the snow and finally decided to check this place out. We sat at the chef's counter with windows into the kitchen. If I was coming for date night, I'd call ahead and get a table but the counter was a nice place for a casual tasty dinner. The head chef stopped by all the tables to see how things were and through the window we saw him send a desert back when the ice cream had melted too much for his liking - always a good sign. We both went for the $36 dinner which included their little salads (think beet, cucumber, carrot salad etc), humus (as good as everyone says), one dairy, one meat and one grilled tapa with desert. Part of the genius of the meal was starting out with the tasty salads and hummus. They added heft to the meal before we got to the deluge of tasty tapas. We had the: Fried Haloumi Persimmon Salad Kibbe (think meat turnover) JerusalemGrill lamb trio Bulgarian If I had to pick two favorites I'd go Kibbe and Haloumi. My lady love would opt for the Haloumi and the Jerusalem grill (loves eating the heart..). One of our best meals in Philly.
by Wesley S. on Ive never been here before and it was pretty awesome, I think the best way to describe it is as a rest home for strippers meets a club/bar. You know how shar-pei's, pugs, and some other animals are so ugly there cute, well this place aint the greatest or classiest, but thats what makes it awesome. I even got picked at and called "high falutin and uppity" for ordering a guinness and had to switch to icehouse : ) If you get a chance definitely check it out, and don't be surprised when you see your nannah naked on the bar dancing with her nipples on fire and, smash beer cans with her tits
