by jules h. on I am no nightclub aficionado. I have only been to Vessel a few times. Maybe it is more about my social network but every time I have partied at Vessel it was SIC! The first time the place was bumping - hard - and our hostess still took great care for us. A bunch of us were dancing our asses off on top our table. So fun, so sic. Recently (last night) a friend hosted her birthday there. If your friends like to party, you should consider partying for your birthday at Vessel. Not dumpy, quite the opposite. Classy decor without being over-the-top or stuffy. Strict club rule/entrance enforcement upstairs; basement dance / club / bar venue down the stairs. The bar area and facilities access could have been better designed but what club doesn't have truck-flow problems when they are bumping? A crazy, basement smoking box makes for smokey, smoker socializing. The bar staff were a mix of jerks and sweet ladies. The patrons on all the nights I visited were there to have fun, dance hard and left their prissy / agro attitudes at home. The DJ's have been wicked ridiculous every time. I guess they have an angle on who's who? ** I'll be at Vessel anytime I am invited. Thanks for making such a sic spot Vessel. [end] ** Mad props to the DJ on Thurs Feb 12th... holy bloody smokes she was a cutie and got that crowd going so hard.
by Kristen F. on Service is lacking at this Trudy's compared to others, I must say, and parking is limited. I'd much rather hit up one of the other locations. That said, the food is just as good, and the drinks are just as strong. I just don't find this place holds as much appeal for me as the other two locations.
