by Kamni G. on Out of towners love it, as a local now...I dont quite get it. It seems so out of place on dirty sixth. Our friend from Miami paid 85.00 for 8 shots of yayger and found it normal. Yes..normal for Miami not for Austin. We ended up dragging her and our group of 15 out to the rest of dirty sixth but returned to pure later on in the night. The decor is modern and pure somewhat has a dress code which seems odd . The dance floor is always crowded and is rather small. I did like the 3 floors, however I dont know how safe it is to have drunk people manuveur stairs. The crowd is definately more undergrad on the first floor. On the third you find your groups who sit and socialize.
by Enjella L. on So instead of our usual J lounge Saturday night destination, Tiffy & I gave into Le Cercle on impulse. (More of our friends were going to Le Cercle that night (although one group ended up not coming out last minute) so we were like - ohhhhhhhhh alriiiiiiiiiiiiight. We'll check it out once.) It reminded both of us why we don't like K-clubbing. The booking is fine - I mean - that's what you come to a Korean club for. Girls can front all they want - saying they don't want to be booked - but if you are going to a Korean club - everyone knows what they aret getting into & booking is involved. Going to a korean club without booking is like going into a regular club with no music. Booking is the only good thing about K-clubs because it forces everyone to mingle - all in the name of fun for the night. But what happens when the people you are booked to - are either way too young or way too old? That's what happened on Saturday. But that's not what made the night - or didn't make the night I should say. Our waiter was Boxer - seemed like a nice happy fellow. Kept shaking my friend's hand throughout the night (to wish him happy birthday) and sprayed us a couple times with champagne. Anyways...getting in, we had no problem. You just have to tell them who your waiter is and the table you are under. We got there around 10:45 with absolute NO wait time. C'est facile & quelle surprise~! Music suckssssssssssss. Now, this is why I choose a Hollywood club any given day over Korean club. I got nothing but KP (yes, I said it - KP- bringin it back to hs) but jeez louise - we Koreans cannot get the music right if our nightlives depended on it. What the deuce?!!!!! Repeating the same songs - also, where are all the current songs? Oh la la, C'est horrible~! I can stands until I cant stands no more. This is the MAIN reason I can't give this place more stars. Dance floor is packed. For the size of this place, the size of the dance floor irks me to no end. I understand the essence of K clubs = booking heads to tables. But this is a shamockery of a dancefloor~! Extend it out at least a little. And just space the tables closer together so that you can still have the same amount of tables to book. I always wondered what was the point in bathroom attendants at clubs until I met Le Cercle's bathroom. A filthy mess. Wet floors -I'd understand a little if it's past midnight but no toilet paper by 11:45pm? Don't even get me started on what the toilets looked like. Who are going into these stalls? Beasts? Speaking of the lovely ladies, I'd say more than half of them were dressed super casual. No makeup - tank top and jeans they threw on. Then there were your typical club fare - hoochie mamas. Then the rest fell into the Hollywood chic category. As far as the fellas - all I have to say is that they have way more eye candy & options than the single ladies in the crowd. I VIP-ed my parking after reading the rateclubs reviews, but I still had to wait 10 minutes - is that considered fast? We're sticking to K-town for what we enjoy it for - food & drinking. C'est ca. D'accord? Photo to come. Peut-etre~
