by Matt C. on Come on Webster Hall, you know and I know that you book some of the best acts. Just make your venue 21+ already so I don't have to deal with swarms of drunk freshmen. If I had to pay more than $1 (RSVP with a promoter, I usually use GBH but there are a few), I wouldn't even come for the cheap PBR and well shots at the basement bar.
by Annelle Warrior on loved, loved, loved Mighty! friendly staff, reasonably priced drinks, nice bartenders, awesome sound system, very nice yet simplistic decor. i actually have been wanting to go to Mighty for a long time, after reading all the great reviews, considering it's almost uncommon to see a nightclub having good reviews. i finally went last Friday to see DJ SHAH & ADRINA THORPE (who were amazing by the way). on Friday night, the amount of people that were there was perfect. Not too many - had plenty of space to dance, and not too little - the place didn't feel dead whatsoever. i liked that their drinks were reasonably priced ($8 for cocktails), and all my drinks were great. on top of everything, AWESOME sound system. definitely rather see a dj here than ruby skye.. bathrooms were also very well kept. overall, just a great and super fun night out at Mighty. can't wait to go back for another event. note: cash only at the bars. (good thing it was one of those random days that i happened to carry cash, cause i usually never do!!)

But I won't hold it against you because I still get to feel like Bette Davis slumped fabulously over my Manhattan (deliciously well-prepared once the older gentleman remade it for me after the younger gentleman put in too much vermouth.) Thank you for having seats and tables that do not require reservations and actually have excellent views of the stage. Thank you for providing the perfect atmospheric compliment to the music of my boyfriend, Jens Lekman, and thank you for not judging me when "You are the Light" made me sob uncontrollably into aforementioned Manhattan (also thank you to my two male escorts for patting me reassuringly - if a bit awkwardly - on the shoulder.) You are a classy, warm, nostalgic, romantic and comfortable star in the often dingy, overcrowded SF music scene firmament. Love, Me
