by Augustine E. on Tonic is located in downtown Pontiac right next door to Tiki Bob's Cantina. I've been here quite a few times over the years and I feel its about time I reviewed this place. The club is relatively small. It has a dance floor/lounge area. The dance floor is pretty small when compared to Tiki Bob's next door, however, the lounger is spacious and offers a decent spot to chill when you need to get away from the loud music of the dance floor. The is also a lower lever which is just GHETTO. I think they just hook up a iPod and click "shuffle songs" and call it a night down here. The crowd here is usually late teens/very early 20s. I however tend to see way too many guys there who just stand around and stare stare stare at the women and the women think they're too cool to let loose and have fun with the guys. Overall, I haven't had too many positive experiences here but its worth checking out once. ps: the toilets are just what you would expect at most clubs: dirty.
by Elizabeth G. on I haven't been here in in about 2 years, but seeing how places usually don't get better, I'm guessing it's gone downhill...and it was getting to be GHET-TO back when I used to go. It was decent at one point, but I don't like the idea of some dirty girls dirty cheap shoes on the same bar that I pick up my drinks from. The bar dancers were always a bit funky, I can't even imagine who's up there these days! P.S. One reviewer mentioned that the bad reviews must be from broke people....But just so you know, we're not broke, we just have class and taste. :) If you do too, you'll stay away from this place.
