another queens lounge to review. who needs manhattan. i came here on a sunday and it was pretty dead. they had 4 neon lighted bowling alley lanes, countless pool tables and two ping pong tables. the bar stretches very long, there are huge projector screens everywhere for sports and movies. they were playing a bootleg copy of the movie 'armored'. ooohhhh shaaat call the coppers. i heard it gets pretty packed on the wknds tho and its ladies night on thurs. there's enough space to dance altho i'm not sure they have a "dancing" license. yes those exist. good chill lounge, good music, friendly hot attentive waitresses/hostess. 4 stars play. no hat policy at the door drags it down a star. they made me take off my doo-rag and yankee cap.

Its Thursday afternoon. I get off work at 4 and decide to get a "quick drink with friends" before I go home. I'm thinking an hour, an hour and a half TOPS. I know they have good strong drinks. This i know. I order the best "209 with a twist" around and settle in for some good office gossip about who slept with who on the 13th floor. Fast forward to a blurry 4 hours later... The place is packed and I don't know how much I've had to drink but I do know that its going to be a rough Friday morning... Nothing quite says Martuni's like a liter off water and dark sunglasses while trying to keep the cubical from spinning... Thank you Martuni's for another awful morning after.

For some reason that is beyond my understanding my friends love this place. Where does this place get off charging cover? Want to see hipsters dancing to rave music with their messenger bags and thrift store cardigans swinging about? You have found the right place. There is also a makeshift computer center in case you feel the need to blog about all the injustices in the world in between drinks and pontificating about the art and its deep, deep meanings. Their saving grace is that large cans of Sapporo are only $5.
