by Ivy C. on I finally got the chance to check this place out after hearing people rave about it for the last couple of months. I went on a Saturday night around 9:30ish. There was no line so we walked right in without any problems. It is definitely an experience. The decor and atmosphere was really cool. I definitely felt like I was in a different world. After walking around and exploring the place, we went to the bar to order a few drinks. A lot of the guys there were a bit too dressed up...suits, ties, vests, the whole nine. I know its a good after-work spot to do happy hour, and men tend to stop by in their work attire, but is it really necessary on the weekends? Not that its a bad thing, but...hmm. I enjoyed the music and the dance performance on the stage...I really don't know what to call it, but the woman was dancing around in a skimpy lil outfit doing acrobatic/gymnastic moves. Not quite burlesque...not contemporary...I don't know. But it was entertaining and she did great. I like that the bartenders play the role and dress to the theme. They even have ladies dressed as fairies selling drinks in little corked bottles...I assume its Absinthe. I was pretty impressed with the place, but the service is a bit sketchy. My friends boyfriend asked to get a table, so we were next in line for a cushy spot in the corner by the bar. We lingered around to wait for the current party to finish up. As the table was being cleared a server approached us and said someone else had sold the table to another person that was willing to drop $1500 for it and it was "out of her control". Typical. Sooo...we had to wait for another table. After another 15 minutes they led us to another spot. The waiter introduced himself and handed us menus. After waiting around for 20 minutes with no sign of him returning anytime soon, we abandoned the table. Overall, its a nice place to chill and have a few drinks with friends, but I wouldn't frequent it considering that it is a hot spot and it can take forever to get into. When the crowd started to hit they would only let people in as others left. Upon leaving there was a really long line and it didn't look like they were letting people in. Arrive early if you plan to go during the weekend, or just go on an odd night.
by Darlene Cozzi on Just had brunch here today with girlfriends and had a great time taking in bottomless mimosa and the club setting. Music was awesome, and everyone was there for a good time. Why only 3 stars you ask? Because of all the waiting we did! One of us was there since 11am, but we didn't get seated until 1~1:30pm... Some of us had to wait throughout brunch for mimosa refill because they had the pomegranate one... Then, food came dribbling in after 30 minutes... When we were done, it was already 5pm... Don't get me wrong, we did had a lot of fun and I will definitely come back. However, I will come back around opening time next time.
by Renda Weinhold on Ask the guy at the door if you can slip him some money (we paid $10 per person) and he'll let you in on the guestlist so you skip the cover. Music's awesome and the crowd is very eclectic house cool. Everyone is there to dance and there are some amazing dancers showing off their moves on the floor.
