by David M. on I've been a fan of michael mina for a while now, ever since my first experience at stonehill tavern in monarch beach, ca. The restaurant is elegantly decorated as a large main dining room and trendy, to fit into hollywood clients. This was one of the few places where just about every item on the menu looked good and we decided to pick the 11 course menu. My first time with a large tasting menu and I'm glad the portions were small. We received fantastic little bites to represent a great combination from tuna through beef and veggies in between. I can't remember all the course and I'm not sure I could describe them all either, but each tasted wonderful with just a slight twist in the flavor that only the best chefs seem to bring out in their food. I thoroughly enjoyed the evening and for Los Angeles, recommend them highly.
by van n. on i luv how in the gay world, the tables r turned and the men become "women" and the women get to leer at men ;). i mean, hard-bodied, shirtless bartenders! hard-bodied go-go dancers w/ ginormous packages! no lines at the bathroom! i luv it!!!! :D ha ha...i had a great time here! mostly cuz i havent been out to a gay dance club in a while and i miss the craziness. but i can see how this place can get old with the old cougarish men preying on innocent just-out boys. also, people are kinda nasty mean. there was lots of rude pushing. when i used to go out in sf, i was never shoved and pushed in the crowd! and the fuckn bar nazi's snatch ur drink away at 2am and dump it as quick as they can. they dumped my almost full sweet tea & vodka...that was an awesome drink :' (
by Elton Gagliardi on I always have fun here...i like it best when Set4Life is the ones throwing the party...DJ Go is a great DJ...i dunno why some people hate it...sorry if you guys didnt have fun...bottom floor is open until 4...i only gave it 4 stars because theres always bums outside trying to holla at me n my friends...
