Nice welcoming bar hidden in cow hollow.  Cheap drinks, friendly bartender, two pool tables, darts, and tasty popcorn.  I would NOT recommend getting food at the Final Final though.

Shake your boootay, shake shake shake your booooo ooo oooo tay!!! That's what we do whenever we've come here. Tuesday nights are the BEST!!! D.J Romeo Cologne knows how to spin those oldies and when I say oldies I mean Jackson Five and so forth..."I can feel it, I can feel it" It doesn't matter who you are, young, old, prep or punk...you will be here and you will be dancing. The music is great, the crowd smells of variety and fun, and the drinks are cheap. No seriously, they have a drink called "The Cheap Shit". lol $2 draft. :oD $7 cover on Tuesdays and if you check out their website they have live bands listed on other nights as well. I love this place! I'm never disappointed and I can always count on them if I skipped a run that day because you'll get plenty of excercise movin' your legs, shaking your hips, and poppin your a**.... I mean bootay. lol

If you go two doors down from MJQ to the Local on a Wednesday night, you'll hear the same question repeated over and over, like a refrain, "Are you going next door? Are you going to MJQ?" For a long while now MJQ has been Atlanta hipsters' second home, particularly on Wednesday nights when they do 'britpop night,' though they don't exclusively play britpop anymore because britpop isn't quite as in now as it used to be. The main bar room itself is cool looking, if small---a huge bar in the center with cushioned seats and a large dancefloor. It's usually so dark in here that people can makeout without being seen. And they do. Indie meat market? Exactly. Wear your cool pants. One time I got grabbed here by a stocky woman with a lazy eye who made me dance with her to Prince. It was awkward. There are a lot of awkward lurkers here. It is a lurkers haven. The smaller room sometimes gets busy but is less frenzied than the main. MJQ can be fun when it isn't too crowded, though it seems to be getting worse and worse. The last time I went it was so packed I couldn't move and the air was like sweat. Better atmosphere than Buckhead bars, and supposedly cooler kids, but you know, is indie Buckhead any better than real Buckhead? At least those frat guys don't pretend to gots brains. Nonregulars here usually have a hard time finding the place because there aren't any signs. I've been asked by carloads of kids where MJQ is many times. I like to give them wrong directions. That's funny. But just between me and you: it's across from the Murder Kroger on Ponce. Head toward the garage door that leads into the ground. The concourse. How brilliant.
