by Ahmed S. on Location is great, but do not see why this is such a popular place. The location is convenient and it's nice inside, but the dance floor is tiny and in a basement, drinks are overpriced, and only one set of bathrooms.
by Rick F. on Best sushi I've had in ATL so far! I want to thank all the rateclubsers that responded to my question on sushi. Most of your recommended this place so I had to try it! 2ppl 7pm Tuesday night. Plenty of room when we arrived but it filled up quickly. The sushi chefs were very sociable and fun to be around. The service was really good! they seemed to be genuinely happy to please the customer. Soup, seaweed salad excellent, free marinated mushrooms compliments of the chef excellent. Salmon Nigiri fresh loved it! Shrimp Tempura roll, Tuna Hand Roll all excellent. Unagi was a little fishy..... I'm a fan and will be back!
by Reagan Stibbins on I am giving this place two stars (as a nightclub) because it is not my cup of tea. I guess that I could review this place as a Gallery too. But that would pretty much just be negative as well. I'll preface this review by also stating that if you are over the age of 22 (or did not start hanging out at Minna when you were a green 21 year old), don't show up to clubs with 20 of your friends and actually know who Doug-E Fresh is you may find my review a little helpful. First, you should know that the"Guestlist" sign up online doesn't actually exist. So if you go online and put your name on the list then go to Mina at 10:00pm you are ging to stand in line with all the other limings. There really is no reason for a long line to form outside of this club other than fooling people into thinking that the place is more popular than it actually is. So after standing in line for about 45 minutes I saw a not-very-crowded club. There are redeeming aspects of the club. Many of the other clubbers (although very young and some dressed in matching outfits)was friendly. There were actually people who would apologize for bumping into you. The bartender that I had actually kept track of the costumers and he made good drinks. Which is impressive when you realize that it seemed that half of the customers showed up drunk and seemed to only want the drinks that were no longer available. And finally the music. As a Bayarea native I appreciate any place that plays Freestyle. So yea, I gave it two stars but I really don't think that people who read my review avoid going to 111 Minna. Just be prepared.
