by Shawna S. on I try to avoid writing many negative reviews, but I think this one is necessary. The bartender was incredibly slow and rude. We came in at around 9 on a Saturday night and there was probably a total of 5 people in the bar. We waited for 5 minutes or so before he even asked us what we wanted. When he finally delivered drinks we waited another 5 minutes for him to charge us. On top of this, he charged me for another person's (more expensive) tab and for mine as well. For the location and ambiance of this place, the drinks were far too expensive as well. I won't be coming back.
by June Iffert on I really liked World Cafe Live..... My class went there because my teacher works at the radio station there... wxpn or wateva... but we saw Back Door Slam and it was nice.. the band was alright but it was a great atmosphere...
by Olivia S. on I've only ever been for 1984, but this place is like home. I like to think of myself as an occasional regular. I rarely drink when I go out, so I've had like a total of one alcoholic drink here. When I go out, I don't drink, so I can't actually say if the drinks suck or not. I loved it so much more like at the beginning of this year and end of last. I was new(er) to the scene and I loved the playlists. I am so sick of hearing MIchael Jackson and the same shit over and over again (yes front room, I am talking about you!) that I've grown to LOVE the back room. The back room is more for Depeche fans and Cure fans...which I'm coming around to. There is also a guy who seems to dress in drag and gyrate upon the stages in both rooms. He is my favorite reason for coming here. He is the best entertainment. We went two weeks ago and he had this fake animal/trashy wig thing on his head...I'm not even sure what it was, but I saw some girl pull it and he cringed as he sunk to his knees. This place is amazing. Great place to dance your ass off with your friends!
