Tacos Nick's Way are the BEST tacos I've ever had! The quesadillas are also remarkably crispy and delicious too. Great texture and flavor on everything I've tried there. Points lost for lack of seating in Rouge, especially if you come with a big group. Really random restaurant but so good!

$2.50 strong, non-watered down vodka sodas during Happy Hour. Inner dialogue: "Pinch me, I'm dreaming. Oh wait, seriously? Places exist like this in Manhattan? Score!" Oh, P.S. the mixed drinks are CHEAPER than beers. Yeah. They're just that cool.

The Bowery Presents is trying to sell this place as a concert venue, besides the dance club. Been there 2 times. First time: M83. Sound just ok, vocals got mostly lost, which seems to be a common occurrence. Second time: Morrissey! It sounded pretty darn good, but then again I'm certain he travels with his own sound engineers, so I'm thinking The Bowery Presents should hire better sound people. Nothing else is remarkable. Lighting is underwhelming. Stage is high enough so you can have a decent view from different places in the room. Layout is somewhat bad. It's on the second floor, but there's only one set of stairs getting out, and you have to battle with the people coming down from the mezzanine. At one point I stopped jumping because I fear the floor would collapse. It was bouncing from all the people going bezzerk over the Moz. Final verdict: TBD. I need another gig there. But they'd better make it right.
