My best friend and I were checking in and the lady at the front desk told us that if we'd like, we could get an upgrade for our room for another 50 bucks I believe.....(can't remember the exact price) but any who, I thought " why not??" it's the W hotel it should be worth it. WRONG. Walking into our room I was SHOCKED!!!! This was our "upgrade"?!? I was waiting for Ashton Kutcher to pop out the closet and yell " you're getting punked!!!" But he didn't. Where do I start?? For this I could've saved my money and stayed at the holiday inn! There was a huge stain in the middle of the carpet in the "living room" ( more like the DEAD room) and the decor was so bland. White walls....dirty carpet...horrible. If it wasn't for the fact that we got in super late, had a rough flight, and had to quickly change to go to a party we were really late to, I would've asked for a different room. Don't let the lobby of this place fool you. The only perk of staying here is that there is a mall across the street. I would never come back here to stay.
by Humberto Teitsort on So, after a plethora of drinks at Joey's, the Asian crowd that I was with decided to go to....*drum roll*....an Asian club! Or at least, that was my first impression of Ibiza. The place is a two story nightmare of loud music, gyrating people who look entirely too much like they're trying hard to be a few socioeconomic classes below where they truly are, and high priced drinks. The dance floor was ill-placed - I walked through many couples attempting to dance and got a few annoyed stares. I absolutely stood out being one of maybe a handful of guys among a hundred in a button up shirt and tried to blend in as best as I could. However, there's just something to be said about the Beast vs. Breast Coasts and their differences. There was a VIP area upstairs that didn't seem well utilized - I mean, honestly, I don't gather that Ibiza is where you'll see any popular celebrities or Seattle Socialites - but it was replete with a bouncer and velvet ropes...very pedestrian. Won't be back to this one if I can help it.
