by Nicollette H. on I've been to this venue a handful of times throughout the years. Back in the day I went to club Makeup here. I even passed out flyers a few times. The place itself is very beautiful inside. It's definitely a club you can dance the night away in. My latest venture here was for my girl's night out, Wednesday 7/22. I came to the Avalon for the Dita Von Teese sold out show. This was her first performance in Los Angeles in over two years, and the L.A. debut the "Be Cointreauversial" and the "Le Bain Noir" show from the Crazy Horse Paris and the final was her new Opium Den performance and it ended with being showered by paper poppy petals! The other performers were MC Murray Hill, Mayte, Ava Garter, Greg Romeo ( who is so hot!!! )Raja, Selene Luna, & Kerry Wee. It was a great night out and I found my new drink the Cointreau Teese... so good!

by Samella Ollar on The decor is really colorful and fun, the atmosphere is nice (they don't bug you if you take your food into the seating area), the servers are friendly, but $50 to bowl? 2 of us + 2 games + 1 coke + 1 beer + 1 order of cheese fries = $65 Waaaayyy too much to spend on bowling. Bowling. I won't go back unless someone else is paying.
