The bartender was the only employee waiting on the floor at 6:00 on Friday night. He was a hostile jackass. He did not know what he was doing, and he was rude. With (dis)service like this, the Triple Crock does not deserve to succeed in our neighborhood. And I agree with Ian, the music was too damn loud for dinner, and there was nobody there. Eek. Methinks not. Too bad, because the pizzas we had were alright and actually reasonable. But if I want to get yelled at by a jackass - there's Fox News - and it's free.

I hve been here 2-3 times for their pre-opening nights. Although it was clearly not finished yet, it was already evident that this bar is easily a step above the others in the Castro. They played decent music. The music was loud without being irritating. I thought that the sound system was rockin (although those moving lights creeped me out - looked like giant squiggling worms). I thought at first that I would hate the LA vibe they are going for, but I did not feel uncomfortable at all. The service was great the days I went. The drinks are pricier than other bars in the area - which is not so cool - but still strong as expected from any gay bar Looking forward to the special screenings/events they plan on having - but not so much to the go-go dancers.

I used to think this place was pretty decent. After Saturday night I no longer do. Strike 1 - $7 for cover. Strike 2 - The Pineapple Lychee drink was VERY weak and had a cherry instead of a lychee (I've gotten this girly drink many times and was sorely disappointed by this.) Strike 3 - When I went to go cash out the bartender was searching around for my card. She came over to me with my tab already signed. Bartender - "Clearly you already checked out." Angie: [I looked at the signed cc receipt.] "My name is not Julia. You gave my debit card with my picture on it to the wrong person!" Bartender - "Well I can't tell which one of the bartenders did that." "Do you want a free drink?" Angie: "No, I want my card back!" Update - Lara, the GM, at Bruno's called me a few days after this incident happened to apologize (I left my cell phone # with the bartender in case the person with my cc came back to return it). I was in a car with a coworker going to a business meeting so I cut the call short. Lara found my review on Rateclub and emailed me to ask me for my address so she could send me a gift certificate. Very classy and proactive. (1 star turned to 3 - Bruno's might get up to 4 if the Pineapple Lychee drink I order with my gift certificate has alcohol and a lychee in it!)
