In case you're wondering, yes, Avenue is where Earth used to be.  Right next to the Park.  Don't get your lines confused.  There were plenty of people who meant to go to the Park and ended up in the line for Avenue. Recommend going with lots of girls if you're a guy and if you're a girl, going with another gal pal will get you past the velvet ropes much faster.  Either that or you buy bottle service. The space inside is huge and cavernous, and despite the sticky floors, the place is well ventilated, not too pushy and has good music!! Um- but drinks are EXPENSIVE!  You should def. pre-party before coming here.  Bathrooms are clean, which is awesome.  Also, there is always a bouncer on the main level to ensure no crazy drunken foolishness erupts into trouble. Fun place, but I still prefer the more low key, low maintenance scene.

This place makes me feel like I'm in a Vegas club, yet it's cramped with scantily-clad dancers along with a unisex bathroom. The guest-list gives me the "privilege" of paying only $10 to get into the place, even after we arrive at around 9:30 to get in the line. Once inside, the decor is nice, the bartenders served enough alcohol to my friends, and the place was packed by 11pm. The experience, however, was not so good. My friends were sensing the pretentiousness of this place the moment they walked in, as lots of unfriendly people were filing into the place within an hour.  So many popped collars, thin-beards, people thinking they were "all that" were overflowing the place within 2 hours. There were a few down-to-earth types amongst the sheeple, though most of the crowd were people that aren't friendly. Some reviews claim this is the place for people who "want to be seen", which makes me giggle as I figure why some people's sense of self-worth are based hanging at places like this.  To the reviewers who "want to be seen", do something that sets you apart from others, not something that makes you look like you should be treated better others! I'd give this place 3 stars at the maximum. However, they were kicking people out of the place, then having those same people allegedly fight with one ending up stabbing the other.  The cops were called, which was our cue to leave. A couple of ladies were also thrown out for unspecified issues as well. Any place where the expulsion rate is THAT high & public troubles me, as I do not get this type treatment anywhere else in this city! Whether I come back here is up to how much management filters the future patrons of this place.  If they make sure more down-to-earth types patron this vs. the wannabe elitist folks, then I'll have an open mind.  Until then, my 1 star is the best endorsement I can give for now, as the violence was out of their control yet preventable.

Wow, I went with such high expectations but was a tiny bit disappointed. The space doesn't necessarily look like all the beautiful pictures online.  For instance, all that back-lighting around the bar and Chinese warrior statues were not there, I barely recognized the bar based off the pics!  The bar was designated about 20% of the huge space Buddha Bar is.  So waiting in line (unless you're willing to drop your Amex for bottle service) isn't really a great option for girls who just want to lounge and chill for a couple of drinks.  Never mind trying to get in with a huge group ( I overhead some gals saying they had waited for 30 mins..crazy)....table service would be the only way to go. That all being said, bartenders were quick and awesome, 20% is tacked onto your bill but oh well.  DJ was good.  People are really awesome and attractive and the bar is lively with people drinking and dancing.  Basically the thing that seperates Buddha bar from the rest is it's crowd and music.
