by Anthony A. on I am from DC and I visit NY often. I was looking for a Thursday night place to party and per rateclubs I decided to check our bob Bar. There are plenty of beautiful women in NY just not in this place! The crowd was mixed (plus) age ranged from 22-42 (plus) music was tight (plus) but the overall crowd sucked. Fortunately for me I hooked up with the 2 baddest girls in the club (Haitian & Puerto Rican) so I had a good time. If they were not there I would have left within 1-2 hours. I just can't believe DC has a better Thursday night party scene than NY????
by Ward Calibuso on I can only speak about Thursday 80's night.... and I hate it. There was a time when my girlfriends and I would go out every Thursday for "ladies night." And we would often end up at the Cat Club. And the DJ would always play the same 10 songs in the same order. And you'd have to wait for the girls who go into the bathroom together to snort coke to come out before you could pee. And the dancefloor would be full of European travellers from a nearby hostel, who would say things like: "I'm European" like that was a secret password to an American girl's panties. I've got a better 80's playlist on my ipod, and I can listen to it without hopping up and down on one leg, or giving boys in tight pants the death stare.
