I said let's head down to midtown and see if we can find somewhere new... new to us that is. We parked on Crescent and strolled the streets. I hadn't been down there in quite sometime. I actually remember Mystic Pizza used to be on the corner some 12 + years ago. I had a number of people suggest SCK before but never made it out there. I figured it'd be slammed on a Saturday night at dinner time. I was right. It was slammed but the patio was open due to the fact it was 1000* degrees outside. I asked if they had fans and they said yes. We were sold. The waitstaff immediately came over to us, gave us water and read off the specials. I had the vegetarian plate choc full of amazing stuff. And my husband had their famous fried chicken with mashed tators. Both entrees were delicious. We also had the fried green tomatoes for an appetizer. Definitely some of the best I've ever had. Overall, a very pleasant experience. Great service & great food. I couldn't have asked for anything more. We left very satisfied and VERY stuffed.
by Ignacio Barbarito on My first time to Ecco was this Saturday and I was very impressed. The music was decent and the atmosphere was pretty good as well. I went there with 6 friends, so it ended up being a lot of fun. No real drama getting in at the door, but we had girls with us. Overall a good experience...85/100
by Buddy Katke on There was a time when people went to local record stores for music. Every now and again I bypass the mega stores and go to Earwax Records. Earwax generally carries my favorite genres; Hip-Hop, R&B and Rap music. At Earwax you can find mainstream artists records as well as underground. When I go to Earwax I feel like I'm back in Brooklyn buying my tunes. Like a true record store they sell vinyl, DVDs, CDs and accessories as well as Xbox and Play Station games. I mostly I go for the music and movies on clearance and sale; all things I was supposed to buy last year or six years ago but just never got around to. The specials on new releases are pretty reasonable and I have much appreciation for how knowledgeable Earwax is about music overall and events in Atlanta.
