Sweet deal for broke youngsters! Now until September 4, South City Kitchen is offering $7 sandwiches. Wahoo! I went today for lunch with a friend and got the half BBQ sandwich and half green salad. Usually, with half and half stuff, you don't get the extras, but the sandwich still came with their good chips. The BBQ isn't vinegar-based, but North Carolinians can still love it! It came out hot on a steamy bun and was a huge serving of meat. My fave. The salad was also a great portion--mixed greens with pecans and the house dressing. Also splurged and ate a cornbread muffin, but I didn't regret it because it was so good. Real corn, people. Real corn. So, if you're looking for a swanky place to go for lunch without breaking the bank, South City Kitchen is the place to go. $7 for a huge lunch? Can't beat that.

No, this restaurant is not cheap. But it is the second time my wife and I ate here. Both times the food and experience was amazing. She had the Pescado Tik Xic (a Cinco De Mayo special). I had the Chicken Suiza Enchilada. Both dishes were perfect. It's great to find an authentic Mexican restaurant in Atlanta that's upscale enough for a date night. If you go, you order the fresh guacamole dip. They cut the guacamole and mix it up right in front of you.

My first bar in the ATL!  I was told this place was quote "loungy". So I was thinking laid back. This place is anything but!  There was dance music pumping so loud, you can't have a conversation without yelling 2 inches away from someone's ear.  I give this place 4 stars because they played old school rap (I went on a Saturday.)  I heard songs I hadn't heard in years. Usually clubs that play  old school rap will play the usual like snoop dogg and 2Pac, but paperboy and N2deep? That's waht I call OLD SCHOOL!  The drinks are overpriced, but not as expensive as similar places in San Fran.
