by Kevin S. on This place is always lots of fun. I used to go here even before it was renovated, and under new ownership. It has only gotten better. The old menu was much more diner, and the lounge was more divey. Its more classy now, and the menu has been updated significantly. The lounge is less divey, and the bartenders and staff are wonderful. Silk City always had its own charm, and the new owners kept that when they updated it. They didn't over-do it, and I appreciate that. I remember getting lime rickeys here in high school, a bunch of friends of mine and I would stumble in here after a long night. So, this place holds memories for me, and although it is a little different now, I still have a great time here. I embrace the new silk city. (its not so new anymore) It almost grew with me.
