by Tora Schwalbe on Just went there last night (9/6/09)... It was TOO crowded!! (1) People will step on your feet & when they're heels, it's PAINFUL. (2) Plus, the bar is too close to the dance floor, so klutzy people will spill their drinks on you when they're not paying attention. I only liked being upstairs 'cuz there was more space & A/C compared to the crowded dance floor. I would not go back to this club again.
by Jason F. on Depending on my mood, level of intoxication, and the company I am with, this place is either a magical land where base pleasures and curiosities are fulfilled at every turn, or a dark underbelly of sadness and broken dreams. Like America itself. This place should be granted landmark status.
by Tanna Vandorn on I'm not a hollywood-clubbing kind of gal, but if/when I must go, this is pretty much how I'd want it to be. Plenty of outdoor space, divided into semi-private seating alcoves. Interesting layout, very conducive to circulating around when one is not dancing. That or you can choose to perch yourself on the second floor and take in the dancing throngs below. Break dancing contest going on the night I went. Great scene all around, go if you feel the need to brave sunset velvet ropes. (Or... make your life easier and get on the list.)
