This place only gets three stars because in the scheme of what it is - a coffee shop - it's excellent. They serve great brew and tea, and they have wine and beer. It's an absolutely beautiful space - it even has a fireplace! It is so cozy and totally appropriate for groups, couples, or even single that are reading, working on a laptop, relaxing, etc. It's not stuffy but it's intimate. Now on to the downside: The staff sucks. They are so rude, it's unbelievable. Definitely One-Star worthy. But as mentioned above, it's a great spot with great beverages. Do you just go up to the bar, order your drink, sit away from the crabby barista and enjoy your evening? Or do you boycott the service and refuse to go to Sugar Cafe? I feel like this is the type of place the owner must never come in. They feel they have a great product and space, which they do, and are never around to notice how rude their staff is. It's a bummer, because it has major potential!

One might think you can't top gelato & liquor in one place... but then Capogiro manages to dish up a mojito gelato! Best of both worlds. The gelato is great, but the drinks are pricey, so go during their weekday happy hour (4 to 7 p.m.). Free WiFi & outdoor seating for those non-heat wave days. Only complaint is the floor... moving the chairs is like nails on a chalk board.. ick.

Almost pathetically mediocre, worsened by the fact that it's in Buckhead. I would never choose to go here, but a colleague insisted it was amazing so I went with her against my better judgment. Smarmy waitstaff and mediocre to subpar food. Very little in vegetarian choices. The glass of sauvignon blanc I got was very good - but that's where all my compliments end. I got a thai chicken salad without chicken and the waiter hassled me about it! Not because it's a pain, he just couldn't understand why someone wouldn't want to eat chicken. Oh, and apparently they didn't account for the fact that there was no chicken in the salad, so they doused the whole thing in peanut cilantro dressing, thus making my salad inedible. Never again.
