The tacos are mediocre. I've definitely had better! I would pick the fish taco over the carne asada taco. You also have to go Nick's way! A little over my budget, specially cuz it's pretty difficult to find parking and you'll end up having to pay for that as well! The ambiance is cool. I love the red color scheme, chandeliers and music. But probably won't be coming back.

I visited the Nuyorican Poets Cafe a couple weeks ago on a Friday night. Overall, I had a good time.. and it seemed as if everyone else was as well. They have a bar so I had a couple of beers and enjoyed the show. My only problem with the location were the bathrooms... there was always a long line, and not many bathrooms somewhat of a problem with a very packed audience. As the night went on many people left since the show seemed to drag on for hours. If you plan on coming here make sure you are prepared to stayed for a few hours, overall though it was a good experience!

I went here with a huge group of friends for my 22nd birthday (club only) this year. We finished dinner pretty late so we didn't make it in time for the guest list which closed at 11. Somehow we got an offer to get 2 tables for our group of 15-20 people, and with us having to pay $20 for cover anyway, we only had to add $3 each to get our table and skip the line. Pretty worth it, I'd say. The venue had 3 levels. I knew this before coming but the basement level was pretty hidden. We spent most of our time at the upper level, but this place gets extremely crowded. Finally we discovered the basement level and to my surprise it was a hip-hop room (I thought it would be house, which is why I avoided it). This floor was very spacious and had seating so it was a perfect find. Other than it being too crowded, I liked everything about this club. I would come back here.
