by Susan U. on took a group of girls here for a bachelorette party on a thursday night. had a little bit of difficulty finding the place since the address on google is not updated to the schrader address, so beware. the people at the front wanted to charge us $20 for being on the guest list, had it not been for the club promoter (bojesse) coming to the rescue. bojesse did a wonderful job and is a great person to work with. the inside of the club was nice and clean, but i was disappointed with the guest dj. mainly techno, and only the boring parts of a few hip hop songs. but i don't plan on avoiding this club for this one reason since he was only a guest dj. i'm sure other nights, the music may be different. drinks are liek other people said, about $10-12 per drink, so pretty pricey. i may go back another time, but maybe on a Friday night where it seems like the music is better.
by Lura Rogugbakaa on I was excited to visit Whiskey Park. I went there after an Advertising Industry event, this past week. The bar made SO MUCH money off my friends and colleagues. You would think they would be grateful in this economy. However, the bartenders were RUDE, the drinks were overpriced and at the end of the night, my purse was STOLEN. That's right STOLEN in the shi-shi poo-poo Whiskey Park Bar in the W Hotel in Midtown. Subsequently, management at the bar have not been helpful with information about my STOLEN purse or who the possible thief or thieves may be. I asked them to check the security cameras and have not heard back from them. Moral of the story....STAY AWAY! I will never go back there. I would rather go to the bar at the Ritz. Oh and my girlfriend's purse was stolen that night, as well. Umm..security, where were you??!
by Miss Maneafaiga on I was very tempted to give this place five stars. I am from Buffalo, and Clooney's is the closest thing I have found to the bars I accustomed to from living there. The biggest difference is that bars don't close until 4am there, so they only have to close for two hours a day and Clooney's closes for four. This is the kind of place where you never know what's going to happen, but at the same time nothing suprises. I've seen a man with two women on his arms until one of them got so drunk she fell off the stool backwards onto the jukebox (landing on her head, of course). Another time, my friend went to the men's room only to be be accosted by an older Mexican man that screamed "how the Hell did you get in here" and when he replied "the door was open" the older gentlemen started muttering about the "God damn gringos." Sometimes there are free hot dogs in a crock pot, and sometimes free chili. You really can't ask for much more than Clooney's offers, especially if you're an early riser.
