by Alicia Herriman on We had passes to an early screening of "Up in the Air" at Atlantic Station, so based on all the rateclubsers out there, we decided to try Strip and sit upstairs at the sushi bar. Thanks for the hint. We had a surprisingly great time, and our wonderful server Anita was friendly and efficient--she got us in and out in record time, per our request. I ordered the sushi/sashimi for one, which comes with a tuna roll along with chef's choice for sushi and sashimi. Husband decided on the dancing eel roll, and ordered an extra tuna roll. We washed it down with a bottle of cold sake - the large one - and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The quality of the sashimi is the higher than the fish served in the rolls--definitely on a par with Nickiemoto's. Good, not great. A worthy three star sushi bar. Anita encouraged us to come back on a Thursday night, when Strip runs a half price special on all their sushi rolls. We're planning to take her up on it!
by Brandon Sickels on This was my first time ever going to Karaoke in America...the first time ever was in Japan, so that is my standard! Well, this place was definitely BEAUTIFUL! No wait on the night we went, either. The bottle service and room prices were very affordable (it was 15 of us and only 50 dollars an hour for the room). They gave us only two mics- i wish we would have had more, especially since we had a pretty big crowd! The fruit plate provided with bottle service was very beautiful. BIG PROBLEM THOUGH, IF YOU ONLY SPEAK ENGLISH- the English song list was very limited and a bit dated, with the exception of a few pop songs which were listed in the back of the book... and unlike Karaoke bars in Japan, which have song lists by artists, song titles AND genres, this book was only limited to the song titles. Quite annoying! I loved, however, the fact that the tables were strong so me and my friend got to tabledance! =) All in all, we had a wonderful time, for the price, but we would have loved it if there were more English selections!
by Jason R. on Why have a list if you are going to make me buy a bottle to get in. Not cool! Don't say its open bar from 10 - 11 and not let anyone in, not cool! At least I had a smoke with Queen Latifah outside, thats cool.
