I went to TAO for dinner on a Saturday night with no reservations, we waited for about an hour , we waited by the bar which was packed as well. The giant buddha's and decorations reminded of Buddah bar a little bit. The hostess was a bit of a snob i guess given thats its a "fancy" spot. Finally we got seated , we both ordered Sushi, the spicy tuna had a bad taste for some reason so i returned it and were werent charged for it. The other kinds of Sushi that we ordered were OK i'v had fresher better tasting sushi elsewhere. The atmosphere was nice , the service was good but i expected better quality food for the price we paid.

Dance floor is small, drinks are over priced and weak. The fact that you have to hike up those stairs just to get there is ridiculous. Girls with high heels were holding onto the railing just to climb up and down those stairs. At first glance, this place had potential and would have been a nice spot, but not really to my liking or taste.

M: "SO, so... soo! Was it great? I'm sorry I bailed, but I was asleep by 10:30. Tell all." A: "It was very cool! We went to the DNA Lounge around 8:30 pm and there were crazy lines. We didn't wait outside too long though. H wisely got us some earplugs from the coat check lady and then we staked out a spot upstairs. This was awesome because 1) short people like me can see everything and 2) you can avoid the mosh pit and crowd surfing on the ground floor. (I am WAY too old for that crap.) Downstairs was a sea of mostly white dudes and some squealing teenybopper type girls in the front row. H was especially taken by one with bright pink hair. ;) FINALLY Green Day comes on at 10:30. They put on a great show! Lots of energy and interacting with the crowd, etc. The lead singer pulled random people onstage to sing lyrics. The drummer was flinging his drumsticks in the air. First, they played their new album which had some really good stuff. A quick break and then they played a bunch of oldies, taking requests, etc. The crowd was all singing along but I only sort of knew the words to one song because I am an uncool dork. We'll probably be back to DNA for "Bootie" (awesome all-mashup dance night). If you're interested, let us know!" [This rateclubs is dedicated to my buddy H. Thanks for letting me ride on your coattails o' coolness.]
