by Vernon Conzales on Now that I understand Shaun's is shutting down, I'm going to go ahead and say Ecco might be Atlanta's best restaurant. I've been here at least 4 or 5 times, and it has always been excellent. The decor takes you off an Atlanta street and places you into a chic environment with an abiding crowd. The cuisine, I'd describe as nouveau Mediterranean, and everything - from the flatbreads to the pastas to the entrees to the desserts is spot on. The cocktails are well prepared, and the wine list acceptable. Atmosphere is such an important quality in a restaurant, not only because of the feeling it inspires, but also for the type of crowd it attracts. As such, Ecco does this right. The fifth group tends to get this right at all of their spots though. I certainly hope that this place continues to hang around, as it's one of Atlanta's gems.
by Kimberly S. on I've been here 3 times and every time I have to say, "This place rocks!" I'm a born and bred Texan and this is the closest to Tex-Mex I've found in a long time up here in NYC. The avocado fries are OUT-OF-CONTROL! Drinks are strong and watching people fall off the bull is awesome. Viva el Toro!!
by Alec Basler on My friend and I were walking down Washington and a promoter came up to us. He gave us a wristband and said we wouldnt have to wait in line or pay. As we arrived to Mansion, there was a long line to get in. We walked up to a bouncer and showed him our wristbands. He put us in a seperate short line, within five mins we got in. We did have to pay $20, but it's okay because the line was really long. ALL the WOMEN who work here have serious attitudes!!! At least with other women they have attitudes, I'm pretty sure they are nice to men. As we entered the club, the women at the entrance said it will be $20 with an attitude. The women bar tenders are rude too! They take forever to achowledge you and when they finally do they act like if you don't know how to make anything! The venue is nice. it is very big with lots of room to dance and the music is good. Definitely a good party. Everything is good except the rude women who work there. I guess the door might be a problem too, but we didnt encounter that.
