4 of us when for Brunch this past Saturday and mind you I am not a buffet fan but their food was delicious!! We stayed for 4 hours eating and drinking. All you can eat and drink from 11am-3pm for $18.95. The unlimited drinks they offered were mimosas and jack-punch. Breakfast foods: omelet station, hot cakes, french toast, bacon, sausage and eggs benedict, crossiants, cheese platters, fresh fruits, and salad. What I had: Beef and Chicken, Roasted potatoes, Mangu with red onions White rice & black beans, and fried maduros (sweet plaintains). I've never been to a better buffet or a better brunch. The mangu was like butter! Perefectly made, and smooth, maduros didnt taste frozen, and the beef was amazing! We were in NYC for 5 days and ate everywhere and this place was literally the most memorible part of the trip. Dont get me wrong we had an amazing time but the food and location really stood out. Great venue too, very "spanish" beautiful decor, and turns into a club/lounge/hookah bar at night. Loved it! Great plae to throw an event also. We payed our bill and sat around talking for another hour and a half as the food settled and no one bothered us. Great experience here.

Stayed here two months ago, and I didn't love it. Here's why: 1. The bathroom was too tiny for any woman's stuff. 2. The hotel booked too many private parties for the pool area, clearly prioritizing those over hotel guests. 3. The staff handled my legitimate complaint very poorly. I will say that the valet team is fantastic. Welcoming, genuinely kind and hardworking. Now for the second visit, two weeks ago: 1. Had a larger suite and a much better bathroom...somewhere to put my hairbrush and lip gloss this time...yes! 2. Still not enough space at the pool, and not staffed capably enough. 3. Laughably slow service at the pool cafe...luckily I needed somewhere to sit anyway, since the pool chairs were all taken, so it worked out. 4. I could see the Hollywood sign from the room. I admit, I thought it was cool. What? I grew up on the East Coast! It's cool. Shut it. Ps: the beet salad was fantastic!! And friends raved about the Caesar. So: 2-star first visit. 3.75-star second visit. Rounded to a 3.

The rules here are crazy! Coming from San Diego, I was told that I had to check out Buddha Bar. I went with 8 friends and we ordered 8 Belvedere Martinis (20.00) each, so it's not like we were ordering the cheap stuff. We then went on to order dinner (sushi, salad, a few entrees) and were told that we did not meet their minimum, now keep in mind that we are all girls who don't eat very much but we still ordered at least 500.00 worth of stuff. The waitress told us that we needed to order at least 3 sushi rolls per girl and an entree and a salad each. It was ridiculous! We asked if we could just get a 200.00 bottle of champagne or just order food and give it to other tables. We were told that alcohol didn't count towards their minimum. Needless to say, we talked to the manager and he said we could "just order" whatever we wanted after 20 minutes of complaining....ugh! Our tab was still over 750.00. Crazy... Great food, good vibe but not sure about their policies.
