by Domenic Buttaro on An experience at Continental can vary greatly depending on the time of day or night you come and whether you are coming for small snacks or a full dinner. I have tried most things on the menu and some can range from waay good to nasty with most being somewhere in the middle as decent. Brunch is pretty solid, all the sandwiches are tasty and breakfast items hit the spot. The salads are a highlight as they are delicious and can feed an army, same goes with the shoestring fries which are delicious. As good of a deal as they are, some things are complete opposites being totally overpriced for the portion and taste, such as the seared tuna and crabcakes. Drinks are completely overpriced, and can totally ruin an experience there. Overall Continental has a nice atmosphere, great for brunch, or an early light dinner, but not usually a good idea for a big dinner as you will pay waaay more than it's worth. P.S. steer clear of the rooftop bar unless you like paying 4x the average Philly drink price and like to see 40 year old douches in blazers and jeans trying pickup girls half their age.
