by Alicia O. on Yeah, so for a while, I've heard that Silk City was hipster central and a popular place to go for drinks and dancing, and hey, it's a trendy diner too! I avoided it for a while, but then I ended up here one night for dinner. Guess what? Their food is awesome. Sorry you can't get butternut squash soup and ahi tuna tacos at any old diner. You just can't. It's good stuff and I regret that I hadn't been here sooner. Last time I was here, we ate in the lounge before the rush. It looks so small even when it's empty. So how do they fit so many people in there? I have no idea. I'll stick with the food.
by Seong P. on i came on a world music night years ago and had a pretty good time. i think it was a world music night. maybe it was bhangra night. yesterday, $2.50 beers and well drinks until 9, free oysters and some kind of barbecue on a good sized patio made for a great start to a good night. i did smell like hickory smoke all night and the next morning though. i'm sure it was very alluring. i can't wait for the weather to stay warm so i can spend time here on weekend days.
