by kimberly c. on I went expecting a crappy food court type of joint, mainly because of the name, but i was pleasantly surprised. The food was good. The hummus left a lot to be desired - it didn't taste right - too thick. But - the sushi was a nice surprise - it was random on a menu of mostly American flair - and was very well done. The best part was the decor and the people. Very trendy - but not so much so that it will be gone in a week (i don't think the place is new anyway) and the live music was great. There aren't many restaurants in downtown Atlanta worth mentioning - in fact, there really aren't that many restaurants downtown period. So it wouldn't be hard to recommend Luckie's, but it really is good.
